2019 in Review

As I write this post, I am celebrating the dawning of the New Year 2020 with my grandmother at her apartment in Moscow. I am very grateful for a chance to spend this magical evening together and that she is healthy and well. I treasure my relationship with her and my wish is for her to stay well and for us to spend much more time together in the coming decade!

Making History with Vincent Van Gogh

At the exhibition, there was a table equipped for any visitor to use to write a letter. There were the parchment, the envelopes and an old-fashioned graphite pen. Several letters with sketches once created by Van Gogh were on display. A tour guide at a distance from me asked the group of kids she was leading, “So tell me - how do you think we know about the details of day-to-day life of Vincent Van Gogh?” His letters, of course!
